The Junior Bears Club

The Junior Bears’ events for the year are in full swing- with 3 extremely successful events here at Edgbaston already in the books. This started in February half term, with an exclusive behind the scenes tour of Edgbaston stadium. The tour itself had various surprises, including Hugh Bear, a photo with the Royal London One-Day Cup trophy as well as a few lucky youngsters stumbling across Ashley Giles in the gym. We have also hosted an Easter event where they got a free cricket coaching session, followed by an Easter Egg hunt with a twist! The latest event to take place was Breakfast with the Bears, which was excellently attended and included a whole host of surprises and giveaways for the youngsters to take home.

Junior Bears’ Club Easter Event Highlights

Breakfast With The Bears

This annual event broke records this year, with over 150 Bears fans attending. This very special event gave the youngsters the opportunity to get autographs and selfies with the players, as well as being able to ask them any questions they liked. Over orange juice and bacon baps the Bears got to listen to a Q&A that was hosted by our Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, Chris Armstrong who interviewed Olly Stone & Alex Mellor. Following on from that, a few more autographs were signed before a very competitive game of 4s and 6s was played. The runner-up went home with a signed bat, and the winner got the fantastic opportunity to go on the pitch with Belly, to do the coin toss- which they won! A fabulous day all around here at Edgbaston and the best part? It’s all included in the membership of just £25 for the year.
