Put into bat, Worcestershire Rapids lost three wickets in three balls with Clarke dismissing Malik and Rhodes with the last two balls of his first over while Wright’s first ball removed Fell.

Worcestershire never recovered from this start and wickets continued to fall at regular intervals with only Milton 16 and Scrimshaw 15 reaching double figures as they were dismissed in less than sixteen overs for just sixty two.

Clarke, Jones and Singh each took three wickets before Mellor 29* and Evans 19* made short work of reaching their target after Umeed 16 and Lamb had been dismissed earlier.

Put into bat, Worcestershire fared better with the bat in the second match, with Rhodes 61* providing the back-bone to the innings with contributions from Hepburn 20 and Twohig 28 helping them reach 142-6 from their twenty overs.

The Bears changed their team for the second match and Hannon-Dalby 2-22 with Poysden 2-29 were the main wicket takers with Panayi taking the other.

Banks 40 and Hain’s opening partnership of ninety four from sixty eight deliveries laid the foundation for a second victory in the day and despite Porterfield  falling to a second ball duck, Lamb 24* partnered Hain 74* to add forty nine runs in an unbroken match-winning third wicket partnership, to complete a good day for the Bears.
