Megan is a RH opening bat for her Sussex club, Ansty CC, and often bowls for the team as well (Right Arm Medium). Coming through the age groups at Sussex WCA, from the ages of 9 to 19, Megan started as primarily a bowler but gradually improved the batting side of her game to cement an opening batting spot in her last couple of seasons.
Inspired by her dad and brother both playing for Ansty CC, Megan started playing, aged 8, in a boys team at the same club, playing in the same boys team throughout the colts age groups. She started playing ladies cricket at Hastings aged 13, before moving to join the newly formed Ansty ladies in their 3rd year, 2015. Megan has been playing men's senior cricket since the age of 12, primarily in the 3rd XI where she also opens the batting and bowling, although playing a handful of 2nd XI matches and making her first and so far only 1st XI appearance in 2014. She has played in the same team as her dad and brother (sometimes both!) a number of times, showing a bond they share over their love for the sport.
Megan is yet to experience her first taste of competitive Bears cricket, having joined Warwickshire at the start of 2016, but she has thoroughly enjoyed meeting up with the Ladies sides and working hard throughout the winter and is looking forward to pulling on a Bears shirt and getting the season underway and hopefully contributing to a successful season for the Bears.
