FAMILY FOCUSED SUMMER AT EDGBASTON
During our T20 Blast 2017 campaign, we implemented a number of different family focused initiatives during T20 match days to grow our family fan base and also to improve the Edgbaston Fan Experience.
These initiatives included a Bear Hunt, a new and interactive Kids Zone, improvement in catering through our Kids Lunch boxes and ensuring all Under 16 tickets are completely FREE with a paying adult. We have strived to make a difference across many areas and in 2018 we will aim to continue to do so.
We have been absolutely delighted with your feedback as we climbed 10 places in the overall T20 customer experience scores for all First Class County grounds. Edgbaston is now rated as the second best match day experience for T20 cricket in the country. We were also thrilled to have 22% of all tickets issued to Under 16s, which was the highest in the country in 2017.

2017 – A Record Breaking Year
Not only did we break records with the below;
- Highest ever group game attendance
- Biggest ever average attendance
- Most ever junior tickets sold
… we ALSO hit a record high for overall experience for the entire day at Edgbaston, beating all our previous year scores.

We are now building on these results and looking forward to a bigger and better 2018, with even more activations planned than in 2017, and continuing to improve the match day experience for all Bears fans!
From all of the feedback we’ve received, we are keeping Under 16s admission absolutely free (they must be accompanied by an adult) as well as continuing our family focus next year.
Junior Bears Club
If you have a young Bears fan that wants to get involved all year round, then our Junior Bears Club is ideal. We have kept this at just £25 for the entire season, which not only includes entry to all domestic cricket at Edgbaston, but also 4 coaching sessions, 4 exclusive events (including breakfast with the Bears) and their very own VIP seating on T20 match days.
