Birmingham Bears Women are ready for the T20 Blast campaign with captain Marie Kelly confident that they can start on a winning note.
The Bears open their campaign in the usual double header format on Sunday, facing Surrey at 10am and Worcestershire at 4pm at Edgbaston Foundation Ground.
Following on from the superb 84-run victory against Lancashire in the last round of Royal London One-Day County Championships matches, Kelly is hoping the special display with both bat and ball can continue in the shortest form of the game.
“We had to win that game to stay up and make sure that we get the momentum going into the T20s,” said Kelly.
“The way we performed as a team means we are ready and we are going to carry that forward and hope we can get that early win.”
