Our annual Breakfast With The Bears event for our Under 16’s club was held this past weekend here at Edgbaston. There was record numbers with over 150 guests attending.

The lucky fans got to have breakfast with the players, as well as getting merchandise signed, chat cricket, plus have pictures with the players. They were then treated to a special Q&A that was hosted by our Head Strength and Conditioning coach, Chris Armstrong. Chris asked players Olly Stone and Alex Mellor a whole host of questions before opening it up to the floor for the Junior Bears to ask their own questions.

Following on from this they played a game of 4s and 6s with the lucky runner up receiving a signed Warwickshire bat. The winner, Oliver Main got the top prize of walking on the pitch with Ian Bell to do the coin toss for the RL50 match that was being played that day. Oliver then got a behind the scenes look into the Bears dressing room and finally Ian presented him a signed Bears cap as a souvenir of the day.

After breakfast, the Junior Bears headed down to the stands to watch the players warm up and got autographs and pictures with the players who couldn’t attend the breakfast.

This complimentary event is included in the Junior Bears membership and is just one of the free events we put on for our Under 16s throughout the year.
