The Hampshire paceman has returned following the end of his one-month loan deal.

Fidel Edwards’ one-month loan spell has come to an end.

The Hampshire paceman was contracted for the opening 10 games of the Vitality Blast campaign, with last night’s fixture at Lancashire the last.

The former West Indian seamer made a big impact on debut taking three wickets on his Bears debut in the opening over against the Leicestershire Foxes at Edgbaston.

In total, Edwards picked up nine wickets in seven games with best figures of 4 for 22.

“It’s been great having him,” said Head Coach Jim Troughton.

“He burst onto the scene with three wickets in his first over and that’s a great way to welcome you to a club.

“I hope he’s enjoyed himself here and being a Bear for this period.

“Obviously we don’t get to see him again which is a shame, especially with Stoney missing out on cricket. It’s always good to have those pace options.

“He’s been a great addition, the guys have welcomed him in and I hope he’s had a good time.”

Everyone at the Bears thanks Fidel for his time and effort and we wish him the best in the future.
