Coaches and players from the Birmingham Bears recently attended an ECB led power hitting session at the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughborough University. The session was organised by head of science and medicine Raphael Brandon, who used a Hawk-Eye analysis system to determine players bat swing and shot trajectory.

Birmingham Bears strength and conditioning coach Chris Armstrong said, “It’s a real privilege to be the first county to test this system. We talk a lot about innovation at Edgbaston, so working with the ECB and our squad to deliver a constructive analysis session like this really shows our ambition to evolve our game in all formats.”
