A big hit in every sense

First impressions count, they say, and the one left by Adam on his

Birmingham debut last year will live long in the memory. After joining the Bears from Somerset mid-season he made his bow against Lancashire Lightning at Edgbaston and thrilled the crowd with a stunning 76 from just 43 balls. One of his sixes landed in the top-deck of the pavilion - that's one tall pavilion so that's one mighty hit!

"It's probably the best debut I've ever seen from a Warwickshire player," commented Bears legend Ian Bell after Hose's handiwork helped sentence the Lightning to defeat. And the Isle of Wight-born batter went on to contribute consistently as the Bears roared through to Finals Day.

The 25-year-old spent the winter further honing his skills in grade cricket in Australia and is champing at the bit for his first full campaign with the Bears. A T20 strike-rate of over 150 shows that he is a batsman who can take an attack apart.
