Dom was part of the three-pronged batting injection that transformed the Bears' T20 campaign last summer. While Ed Pollock and Adam Hose supplied the explosive hitting, Sibley, having joined from Surrey, provided the perfect foil with run-gathering of quiet effectiveness and class.

A former regular with England U19s, Dom played for Surrey across all formats before the Bears were delighted to land a signing of his quality and potential. Able to adapt his batting style to any format, he is an exciting prospect with a very bright future.

Dom wasted no time settling in at Edgbaston where he was quickly appointed vice-captain in championship and 50-over cricket. In T20, meanwhile, having sampled a taste of Finals Day last September, he is eager for another.

"We played some great T20 cricket at times last year and gave the fans something to cheer but we know we can be better," he said. "We can be more consistent and that's what we have to be aiming for in 2018. We will be striving for the same, getting to Finals Day, only to go one better and win it."
