Alongside Jeetan Patel and Sunny Singh, Josh gives Birmingham a nice array of spin-bowling options. Originally a wicketkeeper, he was inspired to take-up leg-spin by watching Mushtaq Ahmed at Sussex. Good decision.
He soon impressed with his calm temperament and impressive control and played for Sussex's academy and second team before joining the Bears in search of greater first-team opportunities. He is now a valuable member of the squad, having played 54 games in senior cricket, including 21 T20s.
Leg-spin is a difficult art - cricket's magical art - and to have a skilful leg-spinner, especially one, like Josh, who relishes the challenge of batsmen coming hard at you - among your options is a great asset to any team.
